LIFE-CHANGING SURGERIES...FOR CHUMP CHANGE Through Deseret International, relatively small donations can literally change lives. Deseret focuses primarily on cataracts (give someone their sight!), cleft lips, clubbed feet, and other such maladies. Small donations of $15 to $30 can completely ttake care of these life-altering conditions. BEFORE AFTER Most importantly, the group does more than fly in, perform surgeries, and leave. Indeed, Deseret works with local doctors, setting up clinics, offering training, and providing equipment and materials, so that long after the Deseret doctors are gone, the opportunities for life-changing medical care remain. The Deseret goal is to leave a lasting legacy. Perhaps best of all, Deseret operates operates with miniscule overhead, since the vast majority of its activities are 100% volunteer-based.
