JOHN GLUCKMAN recently became the first person to climb the Seven Summits and complete the Seven Marathons--that is, a marathon on each continent. The Seven Summits are: Everest (Asia), Kosciuszko (Australia), Elbrus (Europe), Aconcagua (South America), McKinley (North America), Kilimanjaro (Africa), and Vinson Massif (Antarctica). [NOTE: Some consider Carstenz Pyramid in Indonesia the true seventh Summit, not Kosciuszko. No worries--Mr. Gluckman has climbed both.] AJ recently interviewed John Gluckman concerning his conquering of the Seven Summits.
